“Trump‘s Tax Cuts: Good for America, But Bad for Germany?“

US President Donald Trump achieved his first legislative victory at
the end of 2017 with a historic reduction in corporate tax. The headline
corporate tax rate has gone from 35%, one of the highest in the world,
down to 21%. While American businesspeople may celebrate, what does this mean for Germany? Will Germany have to lower its tax rate to stay competitive? Will German firms flock to the US to take advantage of the lower rate and avoid possible taxes on crossborder business? Does the US tax cut result in a race to the bottom? 

This evening, leading members of the business, legal and political
community will discuss Trump’s tax reform and what it could mean for
Germany.

Each month, until June, the students who have entered the competition are invited to attend a presentation & mentoring evening where they will learn about an aspect of preparing a business plan & have the opportunity to talk with a program mentor to ask questions relating to their entry.

If you would like to assist us on the evening, either by manning the registration desk or by becoming a mentor, we would love to hear from you!
